The Board of Appeal of the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) has ruled against an appeal by Onix Asigurari SA, a Romanian insurer, on a decision by the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA).

Statement Of CFTC Chairman Timothy G. Massad On The Resignation Of Commissioner Mark P. Wetjen

Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Tim Massad today made the following statement on the resignation of CFTC Commissioner Mark P. Wetjen:
“I thank Mark Wetjen for his service to our nation and for the outstanding contribution he has made to the CFTC. When Mark arrived, the commission was just beginning the task of implementing the Congressional mandate to regulate the swaps market. Today, thanks to Mark's help, the Commission has a framework in place to make the swaps market more open, transparent and competitive. Mark has consistently provided a thoughtful, informed perspective on the issues facing the agency, and his dedication has been invaluable. On a personal note, I am grateful for the very constructive relationship we have, and in particular for the help and good counsel he has provided me as a result of having served as Acting Chairman before I was confirmed."

CFTC Commissioner Mark P. Wetjen Announces His Resignation

Today, Commissioner Mark P. Wetjen announced his resignation from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, effective August 28, 2015. Mr. Wetjen was unanimously confirmed by the Senate in October 2011 and served as Acting Chairman of the Commission from January 2014 to June 2014.

Thai Bourse And AIMC Holds The Mutual Fund Fair From Aug 14-15

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) continues to promote mutual fund investment among investors, through its cooperation with the Association of Investment Management Companies (AIMC), in the "Mutual Fund Fair" event, during August 14-15 at SET's building, encouraging Thais to gradually buy long-term equity funds (LTF) and retirement mutual funds (RMF) units.

New Zealand's Financial Markets Authority Secures Interim Asset Preservation Orders Over PTT Limited And Steven Robertson

The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) has obtained interim asset preservation orders over the assets of PTT Limited, Steven Robertson and associated entities, from the High Court in Auckland. This is part of an ongoing investigation into PTT Limited. The FMA has concerns that client funds may be at risk and the company may be operating in breach of financial market legislation. Neither Mr Robertson nor PTT is registered on the Financial Services Provider Register.

Financial market developments
Mr Cœuré reviewed recent financial market developments.
Since the Governing Council’s monetary policy meeting on 2-3 June 2015, financial markets had again been characterised by volatility, in part driven by uncertainty related to developments in Greece. The Eurosystem nevertheless continued to smoothly execute the expanded asset purchase programme (APP), in line with the announced moderate frontloading of purchases.

SGX Urges Caution When Dealing In CEFC Shares - Notes Small Number Of Offshore Accounts Accounted For 40% Of Recent Buying

Singapore Exchange (SGX) today notes CEFC International Limited’s 10 August announcement of a placement of about 705 million shares at $0.35 each. This follows the company’s 21 July reply to SGX’s public query, saying that it was not aware of any information about the company that was not previously announced, apart from a potential joint venture and related funding, which if known might explain the trading activity in its shares. SGX issued a Trade with Caution warning after CEFC’s 21 July reply.

This data extends to 42 total months the data series you can view in the data visualization tool as well as download in CSV format. The visualization for quote-life data now defaults to Q2 2015.
