  • Reopening Of Athens Stock Exchange

    Following today's signing by the Minister of Finance of the relevant decision, the Athens Exchange Stock Markets Steering Committee and the Boards of Directors of AthexClear and Hellenic Central Securities Depository (ATHEXCSD) have decided the reopening, as of Monday the 3rd of August, of the Regulated market and the Multilateral Trading Facility of "EN.A" (Alternative Market) of the Athens Stock Exchange (ATHEX) and have proposed to the Hellenic Capital Market Commission the resumption of clearing and settlement operations for all securities traded on the Greek markets and the Multilateral Trading Facility "EN.A".

  • EBA: Discussion Paper And Call For Evidence On SMEs And The SME Supporting Factor

    The European Banking Authority (EBA) launched today a call for evidence on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the SME supporting factor (SF). Through this paper, which is the basis for a preliminary discussion, the EBA is inviting its stakeholders to provide their input and evidence aimed at supporting the ongoing analysis on bank lending to SMEs and the impact of the SME SF. The final document, which will inform the European Commission’s own report on the impact of own funds requirements on lending to SMEs, is expected to be published in the first quarter of 2016. The consultation runs until 1 October 2015.

  • EEX: First Trade Registered In Financial Dutch Power Futures

    Yesterday, the first trading transaction in financially settled Dutch Power Futures was registered on the EEX for clearing. The trade for delivery in September 2015 comprised 3,600 megawatt hours traded at a price of EUR 40.55 per MWh. Financially settled Dutch Power Futures have been available for trading and clearing at EEX since 22 June 2015, complementing EEX’s offering for physically-settled futures for this market area.

  • LME Refines The Ring’s Closing Price Procedures

    The London Metal Exchange (LME) is enhancing the procedures for establishing the Closing Prices on its open outcry trading floor, the Ring. The refinement is designed to increase the efficiency of the final trading session of the day (the afternoon ‘Kerb’) following a marked increase in activity during this period over the past five years.

  • ICE Benchmark Administration Publishes Second Position Paper On The Evolution ICE LIBOR

    Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE:ICE), the leading global network of exchanges and clearing houses, announced that ICE Benchmark Administration (IBA) has today published a secondposition paper on the evolution of ICE LIBOR. IBA is seeking feedback on proposals included in the paper from all LIBOR stakeholders. Comments should be submitted to IBA by October 16, 2015.
