Yesterday, EEX achieved a new daily record of 3.0 TWh in Phelix-DE Futures, the new reference product for European power. The previous record was set on 21st September at 2.5 TWh.

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has produced, for the first time, data on the size of the interest rate, credit, equity, commodity and foreign exchange derivatives markets in the European Union’s (EU), based on the weekly data it receives from trade repositories (TRs).

This commitment is founded in Clearstream‘s core task, which is to absorb differences in regulatory frameworks. The company was established in 1970 (back then under the name Cedel) by 66 of the world's major financial institutions. The objective: minimising risk of cross-border settlement.

EBRD Invests In Covered Bond Issued By National Bank Of Greece - Strong International Interest Signals Growing Confidence In Country’s Recovery

The EBRD has successfully participated in a covered bond issue by National Bank of Greece S.A. (NBG) with an investment of €30 million out of the total €750 million offering. The landmark transaction will support the bank’s goal to re-establish a recurring presence on the international capital markets.

Securities Commission Malaysia (SC)’s InvestSmart® Fest 2017 held from 13-15 October attracted close to 20,000 visitors. The annual event which aims to enhance financial and investment literacy amongst Malaysia was officiated by Yang Berhormat Brigadier General Khairy Jamaluddin, Minister for Youth and Sports. Then three-day event ended on a high note with the inaugural ScamBuster Run which drew participation of 3,000 people. The charity fun run, held to enhance investors’ awareness on scams, successfully raised RM100,000 for the National Kidney Foundation.
