HKEX: Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect

On 11 October 2016, The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (“SEHK”) and Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited (“HKSCC”), both wholly-owned subsidiaries of HKEX, entered into an agreement with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (“SZSE”) and China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited (“ChinaClear”) to establish Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect (“Agreement”). The key features of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect as agreed by the parties, including the establishment of the order-routing arrangements and the shares eligible to be traded under Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect, reflect the principles laid down in the Joint Announcement.

Four-Party Agreement For Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect Signed

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (SEHK) and Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited (HKSCC), wholly-owned subsidiaries of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), signed an agreement (the Four-party Agreement) today (Tuesday) with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) and China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited (ChinaClear) for the establishment of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect (Shenzhen Connect).

Shenzhen Stock Exchange Promulgated Relevant Guidelines For Book Building Of Corporate Bonds To Further Regulate The Issuance Business Of Corporate Bonds

As approved by China Securities Regulatory Commission (‘CSRC’), Shenzhen Stock Exchange (‘SZSE’) recently formulated and promulgated the Guidelines for Book Building Issuance Business of Corporate Bonds (hereinafter referred to as “the Guidelines”). According to CSRC’s overall arrangement, the Guidelines is promulgated after several rounds of opinions solicited from the market, discussion and revision. It aims to implement CSRC’s work requirements of ‘legal, strict and overall supervision’, further promote the healthy development of bond market, regulate the book building issuance business of corporate bonds, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of all transaction parties.

United Kingdom Parliament Treasury Committee Update: Chair On Leaked RBS/GRG Documents

Commenting on the leaked RBS/GRG documents, Rt Hon. Andrew Tyrie MP, Chairman of the Treasury Committee, said:
"The leaks today illustrate the need for the FCA to get on with publication as soon as possible. I will be writing to the FCA for a publication date.
On the basis of what has come out so far, this appears to be a shocking story, with many businesses at the wrong end of it, and who deserved better.
The longer the delay in publication, the longer that many small firms may have to wait to receive any compensation."
