Court Dismisses Challenge To Hong Kong Securities And Futures Commission’s Search Warrant And Provision Of Information To Mainland Regulator

The Court of First Instance has made a decision dismissing a challenge lodged by Mr Tang Hanbo against the search warrant obtained by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) for an ongoing investigation into suspected breaches of the Takeovers Code and suspected offences under the Securities and Futures Ordinance.

Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission: Court Sets Pre-Trial Date For Insider Dealing Case

The Eastern Magistrates’ Court today adjourned the criminal proceedings brought by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) against Mr Au-Yeung Siu Pang to 26 January 2018 for a pre-trial review after he pleaded not guilty to charges of insider dealing in the shares of China CBM Group Company Limited (China CBM).

On 7th December 2017, Shenzhen Stock Exchange (“SZSE”) successfully held the China-Philippines Capital Market Symposium and Characteristic Project Cooperation Conference in Manila, Philippines to promote cooperation between the capital markets of two sides and further strengthen the capacity of the capital market to serve the real economy in both countries. Chairman of the Administrative Committee of SZSE Wu Lijun, commissioner of Philippines Securities Regulatory Commission (“PhSEC”) Amatong, president of CLSA Tang Zhenyi, vice president of Bank of China Manila branch Chen Xiang, president of Essence Securities Wang Lianzhi, representatives from Philippine Stock Exchange and Chinese Embassy in the Philippines and about a hundred representatives from Philippine major enterprises and financial institutions were present.
