Davidson Joins OCC As President And Chief Operating Officer - Agrawal Promoted To Chief Business Transformation Officer

OCC, the world’s largest equity derivatives clearing organization, today announced that John P. Davidson, a long-time senior executive with more than 35 years of experience in the global financial services industry, has agreed to join the organization as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective May 8th. Davidson will report to OCC Chairman and CEO Craig Donohue, and he replaces Michael McClain, Chief Operating Officer, who left OCC on March 31st for personal reasons.

• Trading in Financial Derivatives in March was up 111% from the preceding month
• New admissions on MARF in March reached €354 million, up 154.6% year-on-year

MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), has concluded the best March in its history, totaling 202,500 contracts traded during the month. Total volume for the month surpassed the record set in 2014 by 19 percent and now stands as the 21st-best in Exchange history.

CFTC Acting Chairman Giancarlo Announced Andrew B. Busch As The Commission’s First Chief Market Intelligence Officer

U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Commission) Acting Chairman J. Christopher Giancarlo today announced that Andrew B. Busch has been named the Commission’s first Chief Market Intelligence Officer. After spending 30 years in the financial services sector, Mr. Busch comes to the CFTC from the boutique economic research company he founded, Bering Productions Inc. (BPI), where he was CEO. Mr. Busch will assume his duties on April 10, 2017.
