First, I am pleased to announce that we have agreed to a common approach regarding derivatives trading platform equivalence. It will ensure that European firms and U.S. firms can trade on each other’s registered derivatives platforms.

FSB Publishes Stocktake On Cybersecurity Regulatory And Supervisory Practices

The Financial Stability Board (FSB) today published the results of a stocktake on cybersecurity regulations, guidance and supervisory practices which had been delivered to this week’s meeting of G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors in Washington DC. With the aim of enhancing cross-border cooperation, the G20 at its March 2017 meeting in Baden-Baden asked the FSB, as a first step, to perform the stocktake.

The European Banking Authority (EBA) published today its final Guidelines on complaints procedures to be followed by competent authorities (CAs) to ensure and monitor effective compliance by payment service providers (PSPs) with the revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2). These Guidelines are part of the EBA's work to support the core objectives of PSD2 of strengthening the integrated payments market across the European Union, ensuring a consistent, efficient and effective application of the legislative framework and promoting transparency.

EEX Dairy Futures Volume Hit 100,000 Tonnes Mark In October

In October 2017, the annual volume traded in EEX dairy derivatives exceeded the 100,000 tonnes mark for the first time. From 1 January until 12 October 2017, a volume of 101,850 tonnes was traded (20,370 tonnes). This is an increase of 24 percent compared to the total annual volume 2016 (82,050 tonnes).

The management board of the exchange operating company, Wiener Börse AG, passed the resolution on 12 October 2017 to admit Credit Suisse International, London (U.K.) as a new member to the Vienna Stock Exchange in its function as securities exchange effective as of 17 October 2017.
