    ELEKTROMREŽA SRBIJE (EMS), the European Power Exchange EPEX SPOT, the Hungarian Power Exchange HUPX, the Hungarian Independent Transmission Operator Company MAVIR and the South East European Power Exchange SEEPEX have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which foresees the creation of a strong cross-regional power exchange in the Central and South Eastern European region.

  • SGX Reports Market Statistics For January 2018

    • Total Securities market turnover value was at S$29.4 billion, up 53% month-on-month (m-o-m) and up 40% year-on-year (y-o-y), over 22 trading days. There were 20 trading days in December 2017 and 20 in January 2017.
    • Securities daily average value (SDAV) was S$1.3 billion, up 39% m-o-m and up 28% y-o-y.
    • Market turnover value of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) was S$253 million, up 27% m-o-m and down 13% y-o-y.
    • Market turnover value of structured warrants and Daily Leveraged Certificates (DLCs) was S$1.4 billion, up 61% m-o-m and up 46% y-o-y.
    • There were 2 new Catalist listings during the month, raising S$32.2 million.
    • There were 59 new bond listings, raising S$25.1 billion.
    • Total market capitalisation value of 749 listed companies stood at S$1.1 trillion as at end-January 2018.

     

  • Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission: Court Orders Qunxing And Former Directors To Compensate Investors Over Disclosure Of False Or Misleading Information

    The Court of First Instance (CFI) has granted orders sought by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) in its proceedings against Qunxing Paper Holdings Company Limited (Qunxing), its former chairman and vice-chairman  Mr Zhu Yu Guo and his son, Mr Zhu Mo Qun – as well as its subsidiary Best Known Group Limited, (collectively the defendants) to compensate investors who subscribed for Qunxing shares in its initial public offering or purchased them in the secondary market between 2007 and 2011.

  • ASIC: Charges Laid Against Former FX Trader

    Former Deutsche Bank FX options and futures trader, Andrew Donaldson, of Bronte NSW, has been charged with 85 offences under s184(2) of the Corporations Act 2001 in respect of using his position as an employee dishonestly with the intention of directly or indirectly gaining an advantage for himself. Mr Donaldson's charges were first listed before Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court on 6 February 2018.

  • Dalian Commodity Exchange: Iron Ore Futures Approved To Be A Specified Futures Product For Internationalization

    The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) organized a regular press conference on February 2. At the conference, it approved iron ore futures of Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) as a specified domestic futures product to allow  foreign participation.This marks the beginning of the count down to the opening up of this futures market.
