    The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission and Abu Dhabi Global Market, the International Financial Centre in Abu Dhabi, have entered into a cooperation agreement to jointly promote and support financial services innovation in Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

    • The average daily turnover for the first five months of 2018 was $130.3 billion, an increase of 73 per cent when compared with $75.3 billion for the same period last year.
    • The average daily turnover of derivative warrants for the first five months of 2018 was $19.9 billion, an increase of 90 per cent when compared with $10.5 billion for the same period last year.
    • The average daily turnover of CBBCs for the first five months of 2018 was $8.2 billion, an increase of 95 per cent when compared with $4.2 billion for the same period last year.
    • Total funds raised for the first five months of 2018 was $161.7 billion, an increase of 28 per cent when compared with $126.6 billion for the same period last year.
    • There were 93* newly listed companies for the first five months of 2018, an increase of 55 per cent when compared with 60* for the same period last year.
