  • New Exchange Council Of EEX Elected

    Following the end of the Exchange Council’s term of office of three years, the trading participants of the European Energy Exchange (EEX) elected a new Exchange Council in accordance with the applicable schedule on 30 May 2018. The Exchange Council represents the interests of the trading participants. It also supervises the Exchange Management Board and is involved in all essential decisions concerning the further development of the exchange.

    Yesterday, the Commission adopted a new rule and issued two requests for comment designed to address different aspects of how mutual fund investors receive information. This includes the method of delivery, the information that is delivered, what the information looks like, and the costs associated with the delivery.

    TMX Group today announced the arrival of the 2018 U.S. Public Venture Capital (VC) Roadshow in California. These events, showcasing Canada's premier equity exchanges Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV), explore the unique value proposition TMX Group's ecosystem represents for early-stage U.S. based companies and how public VC has evolved into a viable means of raising capital. The California leg of the tour opens today in San Francisco, moves to Irvine on June 6 and wraps up in Santa Monica on June 7.

  • Statement On Investment Company Design, Delivery And Disclosures Rulemaking Package, SEC Chairman Jay Clayton, June 5, 2018

    Yesterday, the Commission approved three items from the Division of Investment Management that collectively are a step toward modernizing both the design, delivery and content of disclosures from mutual funds and other investment companies to investors. Specifically, the Commission approved:

    • First, the adoption of new rule 30e‑3 under the Investment Company Act of 1940, which will provide funds with an optional “notice and access” delivery method for making their shareholder reports accessible to investors on a publicly available website;
    • Second, the issuance of a release that requests public comment from fund investors on how to enhance the design, delivery and content of fund disclosure, including shareholder reports and prospectuses; and
    • Third, the issuance of a release that requests public comment about the current framework for processing fees charged by intermediaries for delivering fund shareholder reports and other materials to investors.
