  • Starting Adopting Ringing The Bell Tradition In The Amman Stock Exchange

    The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) started from today to adopt the tradition of ringing the bell to announce the start of the daily trading session in the ASE, this tradition came in order to increase attention to the stock market and to honor the distinguished guests, companies and people that have contributed in the development of the Jordanian Capital Market generally and in the development of the Stock Exchange particularly. It worth mentioning that this tradition was followed in a number of global stock markets, such as New York, NASDAQ and London Stock Exchanges that attracted and covered by different media.

  • CFTC Commitments Of Traders Reports Update

    The CFTC is now including ICUS Canola Oil (CFTC ID 135731) in the Legacy and Disaggregated Commitment reports. This contract has just been transferred from ICE Canada to ICE U.S. The default trader classification for the Legacy report is “Non Commercial”. For the Disaggregated report, traders default to “Other Reportable” if no information about the trader has been received by the CFTC. The CFTC has not currently received new or updated Form 40s (Statement of Reporting Trader) to classify canola oil traders. Traders currently classed as commercial in soybean oil have been classed as commercial in canola oil for these reports. The current classification of canola oil traders may change upon the receipt and processing of new or updated Form 40s and/or other information as appropriate.

    A total turnover of 1.391 billion shares worth N20.316 billion in 20,064 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange in contrast to a total of 1.417 billion shares valued at N16.739 billion that exchanged hands last week in 19,832 deals.
