UAE’s Securities And Commodities Authority Investigates Suspected Violations By Listed Public Joint Stock Companies

The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) initiated an investigation into a number of suspected violations by some public joint stock companies listed on the UAE financial markets, most notably failure to present financial statements in a true and fair manner and failure to comply with the governance and institutional discipline standards.

On May 28th and 29th, Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE), under the guidance of CSRC, organized and held a training seminar on capital market serving private listed companies. A total of more than 200 representatives from over 90 private listed companies and relevant securities companies, public funds, private funds and local asset management companies attended the seminar. Held in China Capital Market Institute, the seminar was attended and addressed by the officials from the CSRC Corporate Bond Regulatory Department and Listed Company Regulatory Department and the SZSE. 

Shanghai Stock Exchange: Review Process Of Listing Committee For Sci-tech Innovation Board Officially Initiated

On May 27, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) made the announcement about the first review meeting of the listing committee in 2019 for the Sci-tech Innovation Board, which will be held on June 5 to deliberate on the application for issuance and listing submitted by Shenzhen Chipscreen Biosciences Co., Ltd., Anji Microelectronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Suzhou Tztek Technology Co., Ltd. The three companies to be reviewed have completed the replies to and disclosure of multiple rounds of inquiries for review. The review body of the SSE also held review meetings recently to form the review reports and preliminary review opinions. The review process of the Listing Committee is hereby initiated in accordance with the rules. Going forward, the review meetings of the Listing Committee will be held in succession on the basis of the issuers’ replies to inquiries and the review progress.

Guangdong Provincial Government Successfully Issues Special Bonds On Shenzhen Stock Exchange For The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

On May 29, the Guangdong Provincial Government successfully issued CNY47.013-billion municipal bonds by tender through the Ministry of Finance-SZSE government bond issue system. Among them, CNY17.514-billion special bonds are for the Greater Bay Area, which marks the official landing of the first batch of its kind in the country in 2019. This is SZSE's active exploration to further implement the Outline of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Plan, continue to promote the innovation of fixed-income products and facilitate the construction of the Greater Bay Area.
