CME Group Delivers First-Ever Electronic Spot Auction Of U.S. Crude Oil Export Cargo

CME Group, the world's leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace, today announced it completed the first successful spot auction of one crude oil export cargo of U.S. Gulf Coast light sweet crude oil. Seventeen global energy firms participated in the auction for crude sold by Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (Enterprise), available for delivery and export at its Enterprise Houston Ship Channel (EHSC) terminal. The auction was successfully completed at a price of $0.46/barrel premium to an average of the NYMEX WTI Houston Crude oil futures contract.

SIFMA Statement On Basel And IOSCO Guidance On Final Implementation Phases Of The Margin Requirements

SIFMA today issued the following statement from Kenneth E. Bentsen, Jr., SIFMA president and CEO, regarding an announcement from Basel Committee and IOSCO on the implementation of the framework for margin requirements for non-centrally-cleared derivatives:

“SIFMA appreciates the guidance offered today, which recognizes the significant challenges market participants will encounter during the final phases of IM implementation. We believe further action is needed, however, to avoid disruption to the functioning of the derivatives market and we urge regulators to lift the phase five threshold and remove physically settled FX from the calculation.”

Deutsche Börse: Knorr-Bremse And Dialog Semiconductor New In MDAX - Six Changes In SDAX - Changes To Be Effective As Of 18 March 2019

On Tuesday, Deutsche Börse announced changes to its selection indices, which will become effective on 18 March 2019. The shares of Knorr-Bremse AG will be included in the MDAX index and will replace the shares of Salzgitter AG, which will be included in the SDAX index. The exclusion is based on the fast-exit rule. Moreover, the shares of Dialog Semiconductor Plc will be added to MDAX. They are eligible according to the fast-entry rule. The shares of Schaeffler AG will leave the MDAX index.
