  • SEC Announces Kevin Zerrusen As Senior Advisor To The Chairman For Cybersecurity Policy

    The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that Kevin A. Zerrusen will serve as Chairman Jay Clayton's Senior Advisor for Cybersecurity Policy. In this role, Mr. Zerrusen will coordinate efforts across the agency to address cybersecurity policy, engage with external stakeholders, and help enhance the SEC’s mechanisms for assessing cyber-related risks.

    Today Moscow Exchange announced the results of the quarterly review for MOEX indices. All changes will be implemented from 21 June 2019. The Exchange has also set free floats for a number of companies.

  • SEC Awards $3 Million To Joint Whistleblowers

    The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced an award of $3 million to whistleblowers whose tip launched the SEC's investigation and subsequent successful enforcement action involving an alleged securities law violation that impacted retail investors. The whistleblowers submitted their tip jointly to the Commission and will share the award.  In this case, the whistleblowers also undertook significant and timely steps to have their employer remediate the harm caused by the alleged violations.

  • SIX Trading Key Figures: May 2019

    In May, trading turnover on the Swiss stock exchange was down -6.7% on the previous month and reached CHF 113.7 billion. There was also an slight decrease in the number of transactions by -0.8% to 4,630,238. In comparison with the corresponding period last year, trading turnover was down by -5.3% at CHF 583.6 billion, while the number of trades dropped by -15.2% to 22,589,720. Since the beginning of the year, the SMI® rose by 13.0%; having reached a new all-time high in the previous month, as at the end of May it reclined by -2.5% to 9524.0 points.

  • Luxembourg Stock Exchange Teams Up With China Construction Bank

    The Luxembourg Stock Exchange has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with China Construction Bank, one of the world’s biggest banks. The official signing ceremony took place at the Luxembourg Stock Exchange on Friday 31 May, in the presence of H.E. Mr Huang Changqing, the Chinese Ambassador to Luxembourg.

  • Non-Jordanian Ownership At The Amman Stock Exchange Reached 50.7%

    The value of shares that were bought by non-Jordanian investors at the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) in May 2019 was JD 10.7 million, representing 12.6% of the overall trading value, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD 12.2 million. As a result, the net of non-Jordanian investments in May 2019 showed a decrease by JD 1.5 million, compared with a decrease of JD 6 million during the same month of 2018.
