Shenzhen Stock Exchange Carries Out “Service Week” Campaign In Shandong To Jointly Expand The Depth And Breadth Of Local Services

From July to August 2019, with the great support of the governmental departments at all levels of Shandong Province, SZSE, by giving full play to its systematic, professional and local service system strength, carried out a Capital Market “Service Week” Campaign in eight cities in Shandong. Through the campaign SZSE gathers forces to provide practical, professional comprehensive services, assists Shandong in cultivating new drivers of economic development and jointly implements the three major financial tasks (serving the real economy, forestalling and defusing financial risks and deepening financial reform). Before this, SZSE and the Shandong Provincial Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement to make innovations in service concepts and models and continue to expand the depth and breadth of services for local economy.

At the end of the settlement date of August 15, 2019, short interest in 2,378 Nasdaq Global Market^SM securities totaled 8,255,813,521 shares compared with 8,106,304,438 shares in 2,376 Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of July 31, 2019. The mid-August short interest represents 4.08 compared with 5.08 days for the prior reporting period.

U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission Commissioner Dan M. Berkovitz, sponsor of the Energy and Environmental Markets Advisory Committee (EEMAC), is seeking nominations for EEMAC Associate Members through a formal request for submissions in the Federal Register.  Commissioner Berkovitz is also inviting the public to submit potential topics for future EEMAC meetings. The deadline for both submissions is September 20, 2019.

Deutsche Börse: Unscheduled Adjustment In MDAX - Axel Springer To Leave The Index - Changes Will Become Effective On 29 August

On Monday, STOXX Ltd. announced an unscheduled change to the MDAX index. With the acquisition of Axel Springer SE by Traviata II S.à.r.l., the free float falls to 5 per cent. According to the Guide to the DAX Equity Indices the shares of Axel Springer SE will be deleted from the MDAX index.

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) signed a Memorandum of Understand with the National Training Academy (NTA) to raise the awareness of the financial literacy among youth.  The MOU was signed by Mr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, EGX Chairman, and Dr. Rasha Ragheb, Executive Director of NTA.   This come as a step to achieve the Egyptian inclusive development plan.

This led the index figures to remain unchanged at 9,791.73 points (representing a downward value by 25.73 points from the previous closing session). The index figures have remained unchanged until the close of today’s trading session at 01:15 PM.
