    The total value of shares traded for the month ending 30 April 2020 amounted to SAR 95.59 billion, decreasing by 18.25% over the previous month; while total stock market capitalization reached SAR 8,005.42 billion at the end of this period, increasing by 5.86% over the previous month.
    • The total The total value of shares purchased by “Saudi Investors” during this period amounted to SAR 84.91 billion representing 88.82 % of total buying activity, and sales of SAR 86.35 billion representing 90.33 % of total selling activity. Total ownership of “Saudi Investors” stood at 97.50 % of total market capitalization as of 30 April 2020, representing a decrease of 0.14 % from the previous month.
    • The total value of shares purchased by “GCC Investors” during this period amounted to SAR 1.52 billion representing 1.59 % of total buying activity, and sales of SAR 1.66 billion representing 1.73% of total selling activity. Total ownership of “GCC Investors” stood at 0.46% of total market capitalization as of 30 April 2020, representing an increase of 0.03% from the previous month.
    • The total value of shares purchased by “Foreign Investors” during this period amounted to SAR 9.17 billion representing 9.59% of total buying activity, and sales of SAR 7.59 billion representing 7.94% of total selling activity.     • The IMF approved Ecuador’s request for emergency financial assistance under the Rapid Financing Instrument (RFI) of about US$643 million.
    • The authorities have taken decisive actions to contain the spread of the virus and mitigate the socio-economic impact of the health crisis on households and firms, while prioritizing efforts to protect the poor and vulnerable.
    • This emergency financial assistance will support the country’s balance of payment needs and its most affected sectors, including the healthcare system and social protection.

  • Bank Of England: Updating The TFSME To Reflect HMT’s New Bounce Back Loans Scheme

    The Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) continued to see robust trading activity in April, with members increasingly seeking to protect themselves against volatility and global economic uncertainty.     Nasdaq (Nasdaq: NDAQ), PureShares LLC, and Exchange Traded Managers Group, LLC (ETFMG) have reached a global settlement that resolves claims in two separate lawsuits pending in the Southern District of New York Federal Court and New Jersey State Superior Court, involving the former PureFunds ETFs. The settlement is subject to future negotiations and approvals among independent third parties.

    • To preserve macroeconomic stability, the authorities have taken several steps to increase health spending, strengthen social protection, and support the businesses during the shock.

    • No GBP/JPY or GBP/USD 5-Minute Intraday Currency Binary contracts were listed for the 6:05pm ET expiration time on trade date April 30, 2020.

    • No GBP/JPY 5-Minute Intraday Currency Binary contracts were listed for the 6:05pm ET expiration time on trade date May 1, 2020.
