The successful implementation of the reform of the ChiNext Board and the pilot registration-based IPO system coincided with the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, which is of great significance for improving China’s capital market system, facilitating the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and furthering the positive growth cycle and high-quality economic development. Highlights:

• In 2019, JCB and Viva Wallet shared their joint enablement plans, which were initially geared to serve merchants across 12 European countries. However, their extended partnership, will bring JCB acceptance to a new total of 17 various nations across Europe.
• This collaboration will support around 80,000 merchants in Greece, more than 3,000 merchants in Belgium, and more than 6,000 merchants in the United Kingdom (and other countries) across multiple industries including retail, food, and transportation.

Good morning!

Today, we are here to witness the listings of the first group of enterprises under the reform of the ChiNext Board and the Pilot Registration-based IPO System. First, on behalf of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, I would like to express my sincere congratulations! Also, I would like to extend heartfelt thanks to relevant departments of the CPC Central Committee, the National People’s Congress and the State Council, relevant judicial organs, Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Government, Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Government, as well as friends from all walks of life who have been caring about, supporting and participating in the reform of the ChiNext Board for a long time.

The Securities and Futures Commission’s (SFC) latest Asset and Wealth Management Activities Survey found that the assets under management (AUM) of the asset and wealth management business (Note 1) in Hong Kong increased by 20% year-on-year to $28,769 billion (US$3,694 billion) (Note 2) as at 31 December 2019.

As part of the Capital Market Authority's ("CMA") strategic objectives to develop the capital market, and in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, and based on the Capital Market Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M/30) Dated 2/6/1424 H, the CMA Board issued its Resolution approving the amendments to the Securities Business Regulations, Authorised Persons Regulations and Glossary of Defined Terms Used in the Regulations and Rules of the Capital Market Authority, in addition to amending the name of “Authorised Persons Regulations" to be “Capital Market Institutions Regulations".
