Electricity Regulatory Forum: ACER Welcomes Discussion On The Relevance Of The Clean Energy Package Implementation

The European Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) welcomed the valuable discussions at the Electricity Regulatory Forum (#FlorenceForum), held on 7-8 December 2020. The Forum emphasised the critical importance of Clean Energy Package implementation as a key pillar to addressing the challenges of the European Green Deal at lower cost. The Forum, organised by the European Commission, brings together Members States, regulators and industry.

UBS MTF Market Notice: Double Volume Cap Update

Following the ESMA update published on 7 December, UBS MTF would like to inform you of upcoming double volume cap suspension changes this week:
- Effective from the start of trading on 11 December, the DVC suspension ends for 30 instruments on UBS MTF and therefore these instruments will again be available for trading under the Reference Price Waiver.
- Also effective from the start of trading on 11 December, a six-month DVC suspension commences for four instruments and is extended for one instrument on UBS MTF, which means that they will not be available under the Reference Price Waiver during this period. These capped instruments remain available for trading under the Large in Scale Waiver as well as on our Periodic Auction Order Book.

EBA Informs Customers Of UK Financial Institutions About The End Of The Brexit Transition Period

The United Kingdom (UK) left the European Union (EU) on 31 January 2020. Under the Withdrawal Agreement reached between the EU and UK, EU law applies in the UK during a transition period until 31 December 2020. This means that EU law will stop to apply in the UK as of 1 January 2021, and from that date onwards, UK financial institutions not holding a valid authorisation from the supervisory authorities in the EU will lose the right to provide financial services in the EU.

Brexit: Joint Statement By The Co-Chairs Of The EU-UK Joint Committee

The co-chairs of the EU-UK Joint Committee – European Commission Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič and the UK Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, the Rt Hon Michael Gove – yesterday held a political meeting to address the outstanding issues related to the implementation of the Withdrawal Agreement. Ensuring that the Withdrawal Agreement, in particular the Protocol on Ireland and Northern Ireland, is fully operational at the end of the transition period, i.e. as of 1 January 2021, is essential. The Protocol protects the Good Friday (Belfast) Agreement in all its dimensions, maintaining peace, stability and prosperity on the island of Ireland.

TASE’s Foreign Investors Index “TA-Foreign Investments” TASE Is Considering The Launch Of A New Innovative Index That Will Comprise Companies With Some Foreign Holdings - The New Index Is Expected To Include 22 Companies With A Total Market Cap Of NIS 190 Billion
