COVID-19 continues to have a significant impact on many market participants. We recognise that this may lead to practical difficulties which affect their ability to meet their regulatory obligations. Where a market participant breaches, or expects to breach, a regulatory obligation as a result of the COVID-19 circumstances and seeks relief from the FMA, the primary approach we intend to take is ‘no-action’.
NZX: Completion Of Retail Bookbuild And Equity Raising

NZX Limited ("NZX") advises that it has completed the retail shortfall bookbuild component ("Retail Bookbuild") of its underwritten 1 for 9 accelerated pro-rata renounceable entitlement offer ("Entitlement Offer”). As a result, NZX has now completed its equity raising, as originally announced on Thursday, 17 February 2022 (“Equity Raising”).

The system will provide clearing services based on VeriClear™, an elastically scalable and Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered real-time clearing system developed by Vermiculus.

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced fraud charges against five individuals for allegedly operating a call center in Medellin, Colombia, which used high pressure sales tactics and made false and misleading statements to retail investors to convince them to buy the stocks of small companies trading in the U.S. markets.

Secretary Yellen congratulated Minister Al Kuwari on the 50th anniversary of U.S.-Qatar diplomatic relations and reiterated the importance of the U.S.-Qatar bilateral relationship, highlighting President Biden’s recent designation of Qatar as a major non-NATO ally. Secretary Yellen also welcomed the continued partnership between the two countries in combatting terrorist financing in the region. The Secretary and Minister Al Kuwari also discussed opportunities for increased bilateral engagement on economic issues in the coming year, sustainable investment, and Qatar’s financial outlook.
