Thai Bourse Unveils 2022-2024 Strategic Plan, “Connecting Opportunities X Transforming Possibilities,” To Synergize Present & Future Worlds Of Investment

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has formulated the three-year strategic plan (2022-2024) based on the concept of “Connecting opportunities x Transforming possibilities,” with the aim to develop the current capital market and connect to the future world to ensure growth and sustainability aspects for both business and society. SET will debut “Thai Digital Assets Exchange (TDX)” in response to the new generation’s interest as well as the “LiVE Exchange” to provide SMEs and startups with access to funding sources while allowing sophisticated investors to take part in the ownership.

Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), announced today her intention to appoint Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas as the Fund’s Economic Counsellor and Director of the Research Department (RES). He will succeed Gita Gopinath, who as previously announced, will join the Fund’s management team as First Deputy Managing Director.

SIFMA, SIFMA AMG Submit Comment Letters On SEC Proposal On Reporting Of Securities Loans

SIFMA and SIFMA AMG submitted a pair of comment letters on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) proposed rule under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (Exchange Act) that would introduce a regime requiring the reporting of data, terms, and other market information regarding securities lending transactions to a registered national securities association (RNSA), and the subsequent public reporting of select data. The letters detail initial responses and outline recommended alternative approaches for further consideration.
