ESMA Corrects Double Volume Cap Results

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU’s securities markets regulator, updates today the double volume cap (DVC) publication following a data correction submitted by a reporting entity. This data correction impacts the results for five ISINs for which the suspension is erroneously revoked from today 12 July 2022.

It is pointed out that climate-related risks have a longer period of risk materialization than traditional financial risks and imply higher degrees of uncertainty. In other words, they exceed the scope of conventional risk management for financial institutions. Therefore, these days, the scenario analysis, whereby relevant financial risks are measured based on the assumed future climate scenarios, is becoming the main risk measurement method.
