NZX H1 2025 Results & Interim Report Published - NZX Showing Strength Navigating Market Cycles

• Group operating earnings of $24.1 million, up 5.4% year on year
• Underlying net profit after tax (NPAT) of $8.3 million, a year-on-year increase of 0.9% after excluding a non-cash accounting adjustment in H1 2024 of $7.3 million relating to the fair value of the QuayStreet Asset Management (QuayStreet) earnout provision
• Interim dividend of 3.0 cents per share, fully imputed
• FY2025 operating earnings, excluding integration and restructure costs, is tracking towards the middle of the 2025 full-year guidance range of $49 million to $54 million. 

Acting CFTC Chairman Pham Announces Next Crypto Sprint Initiative

Commodity Futures Trading Commission Acting Chairman Caroline D. Pham announced today the CFTC will begin its next crypto sprint initiative for implementation of the recommendations in the President’s Working Group on Digital Asset Markets report. Starting today, Acting Chairman Pham will begin stakeholder engagement on all other report recommendations for the CFTC. She announced CFTC’s crypto sprint earlier this month. SEC Names Judge Margaret Ryan As Director Of The Division Of Enforcement

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that Judge Margaret “Meg” Ryan has been named Director of the Division of Enforcement, effective Sept. 2, 2025. Acting Director of Enforcement Sam Waldon will return to his previous role as Chief Counsel for the Division.

CUSIP Global Services (CGS) today announced the release of its CUSIP Issuance Trends Report for July 2025. The report, which tracks the issuance of new security identifiers as an early indicator of debt and capital markets activity over the next quarter, found a third consecutive monthly increase in request volume for new corporate identifiers, while monthly request volume for new municipal identifiers declined for the second consecutive month.
