  • Non-Jordanian Ownership In Companies Listed On The Amman Stock Exchange Reached 47.5%, Of Which 37.0% For Institutional Investors

    Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) revealed that the value of shares bought by non-Jordanian investors at the ASE in June 2022 was JD18.6 million, representing 7.2% of the overall trading value, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD58.1 million. As a result, the net of non-Jordanian investments in June 2022 showed a negative value of JD39.5 million, whereas the net of non-Jordanian investments showed a negative value of JD9.9 million during the same month of 2021. 

  • Shenzhen Stock Exchange Continues To Improve Business Rules On Convertible Bonds To Further Promote The High-Quality Development Of The Convertible Bond Market

    SZSE recently revised the Implementation Rules of Shenzhen Stock Exchange for the Convertible Corporate Bond Business and formed the Business Guidelines of Shenzhen Stock Exchange for Self-discipline Regulation of Listed Companies No. 15 – Convertible Corporate Bonds (Exposure Draft) (hereinafter referred to as the Guidelines on Convertible Bonds). The move is to put in place the requirements of the Measures for the Management of Convertible Corporate Bonds (hereinafter referred to as the Management Measures), further regulate relevant services concerning convertible bonds such as listing, conversion, redemption, resale and information disclosure, and protect investors’ rights and interests. SZSE started to seek public opinions on the exposure draft on July 1.

    On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) were included in the mainland-Hong Kong stock connect programs (hereafter referred to as the Stock Connect) today. The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE), Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), and China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation (CSDC) held a launching ceremony for the inclusion of ETFs into Stock Connect for celebration.

  • Vienna Stock Exchange Continues To Show High Equity Turnover And Rapid Growth In Bond Listings

    The strong trading activity on the Vienna Stock Exchange continued in the first half of 2022. The Russia-Ukraine war, geopolitical uncertainty as well as the central banks' interest rate decisions caused turbulence on the stock markets. The total equity turnover on the Vienna Stock Exchange (EUR 42.79 billion) was up 10% on the previous year. Vienna's listing venue is winning over more and more international debt issuers despite the subdued issuing environment. The number of bonds listed exceeded 12,300 for the first time. With the Vienna ESG Segment, international standards for sustainable bonds provide more transparency.
