Blackrock And The Monetary Authority Of Singapore (MAS) Spearhead Collaboration To Unlock Investment Opportunities In Decarbonisation In Asia

- BlackRock, MAS, International Finance Corporation (IFC), Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI), and AIA Group (AIA) have signed a Statement of Intent (SOI) to collaborate on a project to develop an Industrial Transformation infrastructure debt programme, under the FAST-P initiative launched by MAS last year at COP28.
- Parties will explore ways to work together on a blended finance debt initiative to expand access for investors seeking opportunities in Asia with a focus on Southeast Asia, with an aim to mobilise capital for corporates’ decarbonisation projects.

Amman Stock Exchange Holds An "Educational Lecture" At Al-Al Bayt University

The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE), in cooperation with the School of Business at Al -al Bayt University, held an educational lecture on " "The performance of the ASE in Recent Years and its Safe Investment Mechanism", which was held in the presence of a number of faculty members and university students on Sunday, 10/11/2024. Holding of such lectures comes within the framework of the ASE's policy and its social responsibility and its keenness to strengthen its partnership with universities and spread knowledge and investment culture in everything related to the Jordanian capital market and investment in securities and linking the theoretical side with the practical side.

Singapore Commits US$500 Million In Matching Concessional Funding To Support Decarbonisation In Asia

At the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, announced that the Singapore Government has committed up to US$500 million in concessional funding to support the Financing Asia’s Transition Partnership (FAST-P) launched by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) last year.

Recently, Shanghai Gold Exchange（SGE） and United Overseas Bank (UOB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding（MoU）in Shanghai. The MoU signing was witnessed by Mr Yu Wenjian, Chairman of SGE and Mr Wee Ee Cheong, Deputy Chairman and CEO of UOB. Robinhood Markets, Inc. (“Robinhood”) (NASDAQ: HOOD) today reported select monthly operating data for October 2024:
- Funded Customers at the end of October were 24.4 million (up approximately 90 thousand from September 2024, up over one million year-over-year).
- Assets Under Custody (AUC) at the end of October were $159.7 billion (up 5% from September 2024, up 89% year-over-year). Net Deposits were $5.2 billion in October, translating to a 41% annualized growth rate relative to September 2024 AUC. Over the last twelve months, Net Deposits were $43.2 billion, translating to an annual growth rate of 51% relative to October 2023 AUC.
- Equity Notional Trading Volumes were $126.4 billion (up 48% from September 2024, up 149% year-over-year). Options Contracts Traded were 158.0 million (up 16% from September 2024, up 64% year-over-year). Crypto Notional Trading Volumes were $5.6 billion (up 51% from September 2024, up 143% year-over-year).
- Margin balances at the end of October were $6.2 billion (up 13% from the end of September 2024, up 77% year-over-year).
- Total Cash Sweep balances at the end of October were $25.5 billion (up 4% from the end of September 2024, up 83% year-over-year).
- Total Securities Lending Revenue in October was $19 million (up 6% from September 2024, up 73% year-over-year).
- Funded Customers at the end of October were 24.4 million (up approximately 90 thousand from September 2024, up over one million year-over-year).
