Treasury International Capital Data For April

The U.S. Department of the Treasury today released Treasury International Capital (TIC) data for April 2023.  The next release, which will report on data for May 2023, is scheduled for July 18, 2023.

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that Michele Layne, the Director of the Los Angeles Regional Office, is leaving the agency this month after more than 27 years of service. Cindy Eson and Kate Zoladz will become Acting Co-Directors upon Ms. Layne’s departure.

The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) today published a Notice announcing a temporary exemption on the applicability of section 4.1 of National Instrument 24-101 Institutional Trade Matching and Settlement (NI 24-101) for registered dealers and advisers with respect to the exception reporting requirement of NI 24-101.

CME Group Inc. Announces Second-Quarter 2023 Earnings Release, Conference Call

CME Group Inc. will announce earnings for the second quarter of 2023 before the markets open on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Written highlights for the quarter will be posted on the company's website at 6:00 a.m. Central Time, the same time it provides its earnings press release. The company will also hold an investor conference call that day at 7:30 a.m. Central Time, at which time company executives will take analysts' questions.

US Office Of The Comptroller Of The Currency Reports First Quarter 2023 Bank Trading Revenue

The latest data from the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives statistics shows a significant increase in gross market value and gross credit exposure of OTC derivatives during the second half of 2022 compared to the second half of 2021. The growth was driven by higher interest rate derivatives (IRD) market value following increases in interest rates for key currencies in 2022.
