The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) and the MidAmerica Commodity Exchange (MidAm) have established the following Thanksgiving holiday trading schedules:
ASIC And ASX Launch Joint Trading Behaviour Education And Surveillance Task

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and Australian Stock Exchange Limited (ASX) yesterday launched a major education and compliance campaign in the areas of acceptable trading behaviour, proper order record keeping, and compliance controls. It is to be known as the Trading Behaviour Education and Surveillance Task, or Trading BEST.
Administrative Mistake By Legal Advisers Overseeing Elections To New LME Holdings Board - LME Announces Correct Outcome To Ballot For Ring Dealing Members' Directors

The LME has been advised by Linklaters that as a result of administrative mistakes by Linklaters, votes from three LME ring dealing member firms in the ballot concluded on Friday 17 November to elect directors to the new board were not included in the count. Warsaw Stock Exchange Trading System Launched

On November 17, a new trading system, WARSET, began operating on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The system was developed by the SBF-Paris Bourse and is based on the French NSC system.

Stock Exchange Of Hong Kong Monthly Market Statistics - October 2000

Turnover The average daily turnover for the 20 trading days in October was HK$8,845 million, a decrease of 12 per cent compared with the previous month but an increase of 12 per cent as compared with the HK$7,868 million in October 1999. Total turnover value for the month was HK$176,897 million, compared with HK$201,877 million in the previous month and HK$149,497 million in October 1999. Of this total, HK$34.38 million was contributed by trading in NASDAQ stocks.
Standard & Poor's – TSE 300 Capped Index To Be Available In Real Time

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces that effective after the close of business on December 29, 2000, the TSE 300 Capped Index will be made publicly available both on a day-end and intra-day basis through major recognized quote vendors and media outlets.
Palestine Securities Exchange Trading Session Cancelled

Due to the disruption of phone lines and the cutoff of leased lines between member brokerage firms and the Exchange, the Palestine Securities Exchange has cancelled its trading session for Monday November 20, 2000.
Oslo Stock Exchange: Greater transparecy

With effect from today the Oslo Stock Exchange will publish details of which investment firms were involved for all share transactions. This information will be displayed, together with share price information, at www.ose.no with a 15-minute delay. The Stock Exchange’s web pages at www.ose.no also provide a great deal of other information on each of the 223 shares listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
Nymex Demutualizes

New York Mercantile Exchange today announced that it had completed the demutualization of the Exchange at 11:59 PM, Friday, November 17, becoming the first exchange in New York to convert from not-for-profit membership structure to a for-profit structure.
