    Inco reported subdued final results for the full year to 31st October 2000. Revenue rose 12% from P23.9m to P26.8m, while direct expenses also increased 12% from P18.7m to P21.0m. Operating profit went up 3% from P4.1m to P4.2, with net profit up 9% from P3.1m to P3.4m. Eps came in at 42.35t against 38.80t in the previous year. Dps was up 30% from 16.25t to 21.10t.

  • Amsterdam Exchanges: ATOS Origin Replaces ASR In Euronext 100 Index

    Following the takeover by Fortis (NL), ASR Verzekeringsgroep will be deleted from the Euronext 100 index with effect from Tuesday 19 December 2000. On that date, ATOS Origin will enter the Euronext 100 index.

    The Stock Exchange of Thailand has announced the new list of securities to be used in the calculation of the SET50 Index, effective for the period between January 1, 2001 – June 30, 2001. The 50 securities are selected according to market capitalization and liquidity criteria based on data from December 1, 1999 to November 30, 2000.   • Pacific Exchange Board Approves Demutualization, Screen-Based Trading Plan - Hans Stoll Named Public Governor

    The Pacific Exchange (PCX) has announced that its Board of Governors unanimously approved a historic plan for demutualizing the Exchange at its meeting in San Francisco on December 6-7. In addition, the PCX Board adopted proposed rules for a new, fully electronic trading system for equity options and other derivative products.
