Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. experienced the busiest day in its 103-year history yesterday, April 18. A record 2,834,016 contracts changed hands, surpassing the previous record of 2,245,027 set on March 14 by nearly 600,000 contracts.
CME Contract Specifications Change: S&P 500/BARRA Growth And Value Index futures

The CME Contract Specifications pages on the CME's Web site have been updated to reflect the following: Effective on Sunday, April 22, 2001, the Board of Directors determined to reduce the current the S&P 500/BARRA Growth and Value Index futures contracts calendar spread tick level from 0.10 index points ($25) to 0.05 index points ($12.50).
