Mr. Yuth Vorachattarn, Executive Vice President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and Managing Director of the Market for Alternative Investment (MAI) revealed that he has accepted a position of Managing Director, Bangkok Metropolitan Bank Public Company Limited which will be effective in August 2001.

Walker, Director of the Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Enforcement, announced today that after 10 years of service, he will be leaving the Commission and will return to the private sector. He has not yet accepted a new position and will remain at the Commission for a short period to assist with the transition to a new Chairman.

virt-x plc announced today that from 8.00am this morning the virt-x pan-European blue chip equity market will, as planned, offer trading in the constituents of all the European blue chip indices bringing the total number of stocks traded on virt-x to 613 - these stocks represent approximately 80% of European market capitalisation. OM To Provide New Settlement System For ABN In Australia

ABN AMRO has signed an agreement with OM to deliver and install a new Settlement Back Office to support its Australian equities business. The agreement includes delivery, implementation and five years of support of OM's OneWorld Settlement engine, and is expected to have an order value of about 30 MSEK (approx. 3 MUSD).
