August Volumes At Their Best On The IPE

The International Petroleum Exchange (IPE), Europe’s leading energy futures and options exchange, enjoyed its best ever August trading month in 2004 with a total traded volume of 2,956,419 lots. This represents a significant 19% growth over the previous August high of 2,401,511 contracts, which was reached in 2003.

Share Changes In The S&P/ASX 50 Index

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/ASX 50 Index effective after the close of trading Tuesday September 7th, 2004: Stockland (Australia, SEDOL: 6850856, GICS Code: 40101010) a member of the S&P/ASX 50 Index will increase its shares by 25,587,391 to 1,291,217,391. This change is due to a dividend reinvestment plan. There is no change to the IWF.

SEC Reorganizes Human Resources Functions - Part of Agency-Wide Focus On Human Capital

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced the reorganization of the SEC's human resources office. The reorganization will divide the current office into two organizations - the Office of Human Resources and the Office of Administrative Services.
