(NYSE: CME) today reported record revenues and profits for the third straight quarter, with an 89 percent increase in net income for third-quarter 2004 compared with third-quarter 2003. These results were driven by continued strong volume growth in its benchmark products, particularly on the CME Globex® electronic trading platform,and the continued impact of third-party transaction processing.
