February Second Highest Monthly Volume In NYBOT History

February, the shortest month, was an exceptionally big month at the New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®), where the monthly volume came in at the second highest level in the exchange’s 135-year history. In only 19 trading days, the NYBOT markets recorded 3,413,473 combined future and options contracts, close behind the all-time high of 3,611,479 contracts set in June 2004.
Euronext: BEL20® Index: Belgacom Extraordinary Dividend

Following the announcement, made public on the 25th February 2005, by Belgacom of the proposed 0.55€ extraordinary dividend payment, Euronext Indices informs that it will adjust the BEL 20® index divisors. This adjustment will only take place, if the Annual General Meeting of Belgacom shareholders, due on 13th April 2005 approves the extraordinary dividend payment.

This week, Brazil and China moved their respective capital markets one step closer. On March 1st, a delegation formed by representatives of the Shanghai Stock Exchange visited Bovespa (the Brazil’s Stock Exchange) to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aiming at promoting broader cooperation, exchange of information and an ongoing relationship between both institutions.
