Euronext is pleased to announce that Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), the largest independent proxy research firm, recommends that shareholders vote against a shareholder proposal that asserts the principle that a merger between Euronext and Deutsche Boerse is in the best interests of Euronext’s shareholders.

FIX Protocol Ltd Reestablishes Exchanges/ECN Working Group

One of the goals of FIX Protocol Ltd (FPL) for 2006 is to focus on the needs and adoption of FIX by exchanges and other liquidity markets. As noted in the 2005 FIX Global Survey, over three quarters of the exchanges surveyed support a FIX interface and the majority handle over 25% of their total trading volume via FIX. In 2006, there has already been an increase in exchange participation within FPL activities and their usage of the FIX Protocol.

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has banned Dr Albert Alphonso Carlyle Waite from carrying out any regulated activity in respect of credit unions for a wilful and persistent disregard for FSA rules. The FSA's decision was confirmed by the Financial Services & Markets Tribunal.
