SEC Charges Former General Counsel Of McAfee, Inc. For Fraudulently Re-Pricing Option Grants

The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged Kent H. Roberts, the former General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of McAfee, Inc., with securities fraud for wrongfully re-pricing McAfee stock option grants awarded to him and others in an effort to secretly increase the value of the grants. The Commission's complaint alleges that Roberts, secretly and without authorization, changed the grant date of a February 2000 grant made to him in order to take advantage of McAfee's then-declining

CME, the world's largest and most diverse financial exchange, announced multiple volume records were reached at the exchange yesterday, including total daily volume of 13,719,685 futures and options traded*, of which a record 10,926,638 contracts were traded electronically on CME Globex,(R) representing 80 percent of the total volume.

System Problem Caused Lag In Timely Calculation Of Dow Jones Industrial Average For 70 Minutes Yesterday - Normal Operation Expected Today

Dow Jones Indexes today explained that a system problem beginning at 1:50 pm yesterday amid unusually heavy volume caused the 70-minute lag in correctly calculating the value of the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) and the subsequent downward spike in the reported index value when the problem was corrected at 3:00 pm.

The International Securities Exchange (NYSE:ISE) announced that it set a new record daily trading volume of 5,531,875 equity and index options contracts on Tuesday, February 27, 2007. Latest ICMA Survey Shows Strong Growth In European Repo Market Over 2006

The International Capital Market Association (ICMA) today released the results of its 12th semi-annual survey of the European repo market. The survey, which is effectively a snapshot of the volume of repo trades outstanding on December 13, 2006, shows market size at over EUR 6,430 billion (EUR 6.4 trillion), an annual increase of 14% over 2006, compared with an increase of 18% in 2005.
