The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged the longtime, primary outside attorney for Refco Group Ltd. with aiding and abetting securities fraud violations at the now-defunct New York-based financial services and commodities brokerage firm.

Liffe Launches Daily Options On AEX Index

On 31 March 2008, Liffe – NYSE Euronext’s derivatives business, which includes the Amsterdam market – will start listing daily options on the AEX index. As a result there will be an option contract expiring on the AEX index on every trading day of the year and investors will be able to choose from a full range of AEX index option lifetimes ranging from one day to five years.

ECX Dec’07 Contract Goes To Expiry - Record Volume For Physical Delivery As Contract Closes On ECX/ICE Futures Europe

On 17 December 2007, the ICE ECX CFI December 2007 futures contract month expired. In total 51,411 lots were taken to delivery representing over 51 million tonnes of CO2 EU allowances for the Phase I benchmark contract of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme.

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus, S&P Euro and S&P Global 1200 indices, effective after the close of trading on Friday 21 December 2007: SSAB-Svenskt Stal A shares (not B shares as previously announced) (Sweden, SEDOL: B17H0S8 GICS: Materials, GICS Code: 15104050) will replace MLP AG (Germany, SEDOL: 5720273, GICS: Financials, GICS Code: 40203010) in the S&P Europe, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Global 1200 indices. On December 2007 settlement of futures contracts took place in the derivatives section of RTS – FORTS. All participants fulfilled their obligations to RTS Clearing Center. The volume of delivery made up 16 874 612 016,19 rubles.
