On Aug. 5, 2008, the trading volume in the Pure Terephthalic Acid (PTA) futures contract on ZCE (Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange) peaked at 480490 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 375146 contracts set on Jun.13, 2008.
