    Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes: The shareholders of Cadence Energy Inc. (TSX:CDS) have accepted the $CDN6.75 cash per share offer from Barrick Gold Corporation (TSX:ABX). Cadence Energy will be removed from the S&P/TSX SmallCap and Equity SmallCap indices after the close of trading on Friday, September 19, 2008.

(URI), with engaging in fraudulent transactions to meet company earnings forecasts and analyst expectations.
