A total turnover of 2.854 billion shares worth N37.645 billion in 41,547 deals was traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange, in contrast to a total of 4.182 billion shares valued at N99.048 billion that exchanged hands last week in 41,446 deals.

US Financial Stability Oversight Council Staff Committee Releases Progress Report On Interagency Efforts On Climate-Related Financial Risk

The Financial Stability Oversight Council ‘s (FSOC) Climate-related Financial Risk Committee (CFRC) today issued a staff progress report on a range of actions underway to support capacity building and disclosure, address data gaps, and assess climate-related financial risks.  The CFRC brings together staff from the FSOC’s member agencies.  The FSOC committed to forming the CFRC in the FSOC Climate Report, released in October 2021, and the committee began meeting regularly in February 2022.

UK Financial Conduct Authority Secures Confiscation Order Against Convicted Money Launderer

On Friday 28 July 2023, Southwark Crown Court imposed a Confiscation Order of £562,636 against Richard Faithfull following his conviction in September 2021. Mr Faithfull was part of a trans-national organised crime group which laundered the proceeds of at least 7 professionally run overseas investment frauds.
