The total trading volume of futures contracts on Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE) hit a new high at 5217530 contracts set on Oct. 23, 2008, exceeding the last record of 4948344 contracts set on Oct. 16 , 2008.

On Oct. 23, 2008, the open interest of the rapeseed oil futures contract on ZCE (Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange) peaked at 113218 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 109060 contracts set on Oct. 22, 2008.

The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) today welcomed the decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in Morrison v. National Australia Bank, Ltd. In this case, a set of foreign plaintiffs sued a foreign issuer based on securities transactions in foreign countries for violations of U.S. securities laws. FINRA Announces Agreements In Principle With Three Additional Firms To Settle Auction Rate Securities Violations - Agreements Include Offers To Repurchase Over $112 Million Of ARS Holdings At Par

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) announced today that it has reached agreements in principle with City National Securities (CNS), of Beverly Hills, CA, BNY Mellon Capital Markets, LLC of New York and Harris Investor Services, Inc. of Chicago, to settle charges relating to the sale of Auction Rate Securities (ARS). Each of the principle agreements is subject to being formalized in an approved settlement document called a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent (AWC).
