On February 17, Osaka Securities Exchange Co., Ltd. (OSE) agreed to accept 500,000 first preference shares (amount: 100 million yen) by a third party allotment of new shares of Osaka Securities Finance Co., Ltd. at the Board of Directors meeting held today (February 17).

Borse Dubai Successfully Refinances US$ 3.8 billion Term Loan Facility

Borse Dubai Limited ("Borse Dubai") announced today that it has successfully signed a US$2.5 billion Term Loan Facility to refinance the aggregate US$ 3.8 billion Term Loan and Guarantee Facility used to fund investments into NASDAQ OMX Group and the London Stock Exchange.

London Stock Exchange Welcomes First New ETFs Of 2009

The London Stock Exchange has welcomed five new ETFs from db x-trackers, the ETF provider of Deutsche Bank, the first new ETFs to be issued in London this year. The new ETFs take the total number of ETFs on the London Stock Exchange to 187, including 75 launched during 2008, as the ETF market continues to grow despite difficult market conditions.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) commends the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida for the successful prosecution of Frank Anthony DeSantis III (DeSantis), of Stuart, Florida. DeSantis pled guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, and conspiracy to defraud the Internal Revenue Service. DeSantis was sentenced to 108 months in prison and was ordered to pay over $2 million in tax penalties.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced today that it charged Marvin Cooper and his company Billion Coupons, Inc. (BCI), both of Honolulu, Hawaii, with operating a Ponzi scheme that involved more than 125 customers - all of whom are Deaf - in connection with commodity futures trading and foreign currency futures (forex) trading.

IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of regulated global futures exchanges and over-the-counter (OTC) markets, today announced that ICE Clear Europe(TM) will create a new service, known as ICE Trust Europe, to serve as a European-regulated central counterparty clearing house for European credit default swap (CDS) transactions. ICE Trust Europe will operate within the existing ICE Clear Europe clearing house which is regulated by the U.K. Financial Services Authority (FSA).
