Eurex To Enhance Its Volatility Future - VSTOXX Future Notional Value Will Be Lowered By Factor 10 - Launch Of New Mini VSTOXX Futures As Of 2 June

The international derivatives exchange Eurex today announced that it will introduce a so-called mini volatility index future based on VSTOXX. The new futures contract will be launched on 2 June and replace the existing VSTOXX future. In response to customer consultation, the new contract will only carry a multiplier of 100 € per index point whereas the old contract had a multiplier of 1,000 €.

Dubai Financial Market Launches SMS Notification Service For Share Transfer

Dubai Financial Market (DFM) launched today a new SMS notification service that allows investors to receive a text message on their mobile phones confirming share transfers among brokerage firms. The new service is just another initiative from the clearing, settlement and depository division to provide investors with value added services, achieve more efficiency for the division’s activities and take it a step forward into an electronic environment.

Shanghai Stock Exchange To Enhance Transparency By Quarterly Supervision White Paper

The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) has recently issued its 1st quarter report on self-regulation management of 2009, summarizing and briefing relevant self-regulation work in the 1st quarter. The SSE starts to disclose the supervision white paper quarterly since this year to further enhance the supervision transparency and publicize the supervision information and policies in time.

CME Group Combines New York Trading Floors - Consolidated Trading Facility Marks Key Merger Integration Milestone

CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse derivatives exchange, announced today that it has completed its New York trading floor integration, a key milestone following its 2008 acquisition of NYMEX. The integration was completed in two phases, first the reconfiguration of the energy trading floor on April 20, and today, combining the energy and metals futures and options trading rings onto one trading floor.
