Chicago Climate Futures Exchange® (CCFE) and World Steel Dynamics announced today the formation of World Steel Exchange (WSE) to list futures contracts initially for steel scrap. The contracts will trade and clear on CCFE’s internetaccessible trading platform and will be based on the SteelBenchmarker family of price indices and other indices. Chicago Climate Futures Exchange® (CCFE®) announced today a record trading volume for the month of June. As of Friday, June 19, CCFE traded 133,175 contracts month-to-date as compared to the previous record of 132,319 in the entire month of April 2009.

NYSE Euronext (NYX) today announced the launch of two new equal weight indices based on the European national blue chip indices, the AEX® and the CAC 40®. BATS Europe, an innovative and technology-leading European Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF), plans to continue inverted pricing for the NYSE Euronext indices -- CAC 40, AEX and BEL20 -- and select exchange traded funds (ETFs) through July, and will also reduce the liquidity removal fee for those securities to 0.25 bps as of the 1st of July.
