OneChicago Reports May 2010 Volume, Up 391% From May 2009, Open Interest Up 489% From May 2009

OneChicago, LLC (“OCX”) today reported that 530,110 security futures contracts traded at the Exchange in May 2010, an increase of 391% from May 2009. Year to date volume was 2,132,102, up 202% from 2009.

MGEX Announces Continued Open Interest Growth

MGEX (Exchange), a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), today announced total Exchange open interest increased 46 percent in May 2010 when compared to May 2009. Open interest on the Exchange’s flagship Hard Red Spring Wheat (HRSW) futures contract increased 41 percent when compared to May of last year, while HRSW options open interest increased by 45 percent in the period.

NGX And Alliance Pipeline Launch New Cleared Trading Point - Shippers To Benefit From Service

Natural Gas Exchange (NGX) and Alliance Pipeline announced today a new service for shippers on the Alliance system, with the addition of Alliance's Canadian Receipt location (APC-CREC) as a cleared trading point on NGX. TMX Group Inc. today announced that the Montréal Exchange established a new record for monthly average daily volume. During the month of May 2010, average daily volume traded was 218,846 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 216,626 contracts set in February 2007. CBOE Futures Exchange: May Is Second Straight Month Of All-Time Record Volume - Eighth Consecutive Month Of Year-Over-Year Volume Increases

The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) today announced that for the second consecutive month, trading volume at the CFE has reached all-time record levels. The 481,650 contracts that changed hands during May is a new high, surpassing April's volume of 296,541 contracts. May's 2009 volume was 56,728 contracts traded.

The Options Clearing Corporation Announces 30% Increase In Cleared Contracts For Record Volume Month In May

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) announced today that total OCC volume reached 408,432,157 contracts in May, representing a 29.56% percent increase over the May 2009 volume of 315,257,294 contracts. This marks the first time total cleared volume in a month surpassed 400 million contracts, and is higher than the annual total of 406 million contracts cleared in 1998. OCC year to date total volume is up 13.44% with 1,702,977,298 contracts.
