Tokyo Commodity Exchange Gold Price Hit New All-Time High At 4,749 Yen Per Gram

Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc, announced that its August 2012 Gold futures contract (back contract month) temporarily reached 4,749 yen per gram during today's session. This is the highest price seen since the listing of gold futures contract at TOCOM on March 23, 1982 going beyond the all-time high recorded on August 23, 2011. On September 6, trading volume of Gold futures (standard) totaled 92,036 contracts including 67,506 contracts traded for August 2012 contract.

EEX Natural Gas And CO2 Trading Results In August - More Than 100 Participants Admitted For EEX Gas Trading – Incentive Model On Derivatives Market Effective

At 6,290,107 MWh, the highest monthly volume since the beginning of the year was traded on the Natural Gas Market of the European Energy Exchange (EEX) in August 2011 (August 2010: 2,648,600 MWh). The higher volume is due, in particular, to increased trading activities on the Natural Gas Derivatives Market for which EEX introduced a new incentive model at the beginning of August. Under this model, a bonus is paid to the respective three trading participants with the highest level of activity that trade a volume of more than 1 TWh or of more than 2 TWh respectively on a monthly basis. This model supplements the new incentive system for market makers and contributes to an increase in the attractiveness of the EEX gas market and to a further improvement in liquidity.

The value of ASX-listed stocks, as measured by the All Ordinaries Index, fell 2.9% during August 2011. All other major markets fell more sharply during the month including Singapore down 9.5%, Japan down 8.9%, Hong Kong down 8.5%, the UK down 7.2%, and the US down 5.7%.

Song Liping, President of SZSE and Edemir Pinto, CEO of BM&F Bovespa signed on the MOU, which includes personnel exchange, mutual training, information and experience sharing.
