Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Canadian Indices
Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes: The shareholders of Petro Andina Resources Inc. (TSX:PAR) have approved the Plan of Arrangement transaction with Pluspetrol Resources Corporation N.V. Petro Andina will be removed from the S&P/TSX SmallCap and Equity SmallCap indices effective after the close of Thursday, November 5, 2009.

October Is Most-Active Trading Month Of 2009, Second-Busiest Ever At CFE - Average Daily Volume Rises 58% Over Year Ago, VIX Futures Set New Monthly Record
The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) today announced that October was the most active month of trading during 2009 and the second-busiest ever in CFE history.Average daily volume during October 2009 was 8,548 contracts, a rise of 58 percent over 5,404 contracts per day during October 2008.When compared to 6,858 contracts per day traded during the previous month, average daily volume during October was up 25 percent.

OneChicago Reports October 2009 Volume, Up 2% From October 2008
OneChicago, LLC today reported that 217,060 security futures contracts traded at the Exchange in September 2009, an increase of 2% from October 2008. Year to date volume stands at 2,212,019.

MGEX Reports Strong October Open Interest Growth - SRWI And HRSW Volume
MGEX (Exchange) today reported a 34 percent increase in October 2009 open interest compared to the previous October. Month end futures and options open interest totaled 52,690 compared to 39,271 in the previous year. Hard Red Spring Wheat (HRSW) futures and options open interest increased 28 percent to 50,400 compared to 39,246 in October 2008.

ELX Futures Reports Record Volume For October 2009
ELX Futures, L.P. (ELX Futures) announced today record trading volumes in the month of October for its four U.S. Treasury futures products. Since its launch on July 10th, ELX Futures has been gaining volume and market share, and October has turned out to be a breakout month for the new fully regulated electronic exchange.

Boston Options Exchange: PIP Activity, Average Improvement Increase Again In October
In the month of October, price improvement versus the prevailing NBBO for contracts submitted via BOX's PIP averaged $3.10 per contract, an increase over September’s $3.05 as well as August’s $2.82.

The Options Industry Council Announces Trading Volume On Pace For Record Year Despite October Decline
The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today that 330,432,938 total options contracts changed hands in October. This represents a 12.1 percent decline compared to October 2008, which saw the most contracts traded in a month ever when 375,934,882 contracts were traded.
