Federal Court Orders New York Resident Dawn Musorofiti To Pay $82,600 In Fines And Other Sanctions In CFTC Anti-Fraud Action - Order Permanently Bans Musorofiti From The Futures Industry
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced that it obtained $82,600 in civil monetary penalties and equitable relief in a federal court consent order against Dawn Musorofiti, of Brooklyn, N.Y. The order also permanently prohibits her from engaging in any activity related to trading any commodity interests, including soliciting funds or registering with the CFTC and trading on behalf of others or herself.

At the end of the settlement date of November 30, 2009, short interest in 2,425 NASDAQ Global Market(SM) securities totaled 6,277,790,072 shares compared with 6,317,281,042 shares in 2,429 Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of November 13, 2009. The end-of-November short interest represents 3.17 days average daily NASDAQ Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 2.76 days for the prior reporting period.
