ESMA Published List Of Registered And Certified Credit Rating Agencies

According to the Credit Rating Agencies Regulation ((EC) No 1060/2009), ESMA publishes today the list of those credit rating agencies that as of today were either registered or cirtified in the European Union.

In July 2011 the RTS Index went up by 3.06% to 1,965.02 points as of July 29, 2011 against1,906.71 points as of June 30, 2011. Most of the positive impact on the RTS Index dynamics came from rising prices for ordinary shares of OAO LUKOIL (LKOHS) (up 12.95 points) followedby JSC "NOVATEK" (NVTKS) (up 8.59 points) and Sberbank (SBERS) (up 7.12 points).

• Funds raised by initial public offerings for the first seven months of 2011 was $190,369 million, an increase of 28 per cent when compared with $148,564 million for the same period last year.
• The average daily turnover for the first seven months of 2011 was $72,628 million, an increase of 17 per cent when compared with $62,318 million for the same period last year. 
• The average daily turnover of derivative warrants for the first seven months of 2011 was $11,891 million, an increase of 28 per cent when compared with $9,314 million for the same period last year.

UK's Financial Services Authority: Investment Banker And Two Associates Charged With Insider Dealing

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has charged Thomas Ammann, an investment banker, with three counts of insider dealing contrary to section 52 of the Criminal Justice Act 1993. Christina Weckwerth, who lives in Germany, has been charged with two counts of insider dealing contrary to section 52 of the Criminal Justice Act 1993, and Jessica Mang, has been charged with one count of insider dealing contrary to section 52 of the Criminal Justice Act 1993.
