Françoise Buisson has been appointed Director of the European and International Affairs Division.
Françoise BUISSON, began her career in 1986 at the National Board of Stockbrokers – which became the Paris stock exchange in January 1988 – where she was in charge of professional regulation. In 1989, she joined the trade association representing market professionals – now the French Association of Financial Markets/AMAFI – where she was Director with responsibility for international affairs as well as issues relating to compliance by investment service providers. She was recruited by the Commission des Opérations de Bourse (COB), the AMF’s predecessor, in 2001 to take part in the MiFID negotiations. She holds a BA honours degree in European Business Administration (Middlesex University/ Rheims Management School). She was appointed Deputy Head of International Affairs at the AMF in November 2002.

European Parliament: Global Finance And Its Institutions Need A Facelift

In the run-up to the November G20 summit in Cannes, Parliament on Tuesday adopted its contribution to reviewing global economic governance by a large majority. The resolution calls for an overhaul of the IMF, primarily to make it a more political body, a halt to political meddling with exchange rates, and global rules to separate speculative banking activities from traditional retail ones. The G20 is also called upon to agree on the elements for a global financial transaction tax.

FORTS: The Average Daily Trading Volume In Russian Federation Government Bonds Futures Has Increased By 13 Times

The futures on Russian Federation government bonds started trading this February with an average daily trading volume of RUB50 million. For the first three weeks of October the average daily trading volume in this futures has grown by 13 times to reach RUB650 million.
