  • Nodal Exchange Achieves Record Volume In Power And Environmental Markets

    Nodal Exchange today announced new trading records in power and environmental futures. In power, Nodal achieved a year to date record with January 2023 – October 2023 traded power futures volume of 2.355 billion MWh, up 15% from 2.050 billion MWh during the same time period 2022. In October, Nodal Exchange traded volume was 242.5 million MWh, up 27% from October 2022.  Nodal continues to be the market leader in North American power futures having the majority share of the open interest with a 1.268 billion MWh at the end of October. The open interest represents over $121.4 billion of notional value (both sides).

  • Nadex Self-Certifies DOGE Cryptocurrency Event Contracts

    Pursuant to Section 5c(c)(1) of the Commodity Exchange Act, as amended (“Act”), and Section 40.2(a) of the regulations promulgated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (the “Commission”) under the Act (the “Regulations”), North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc. (“Nadex”, the “Exchange”), Nadex self-certified the terms and conditions for its new DOGE Cryptocurrency Event Contracts. These contracts will be listed on or after trade date November 10, 2023.

  • EBA Consults On Guidelines On Complaints Handling By Credit Servicers

    The European Banking Authority (EBA) today launched a public consultation on its draft Guidelines on complaints handling by credit servicers under the Credit Servicers Directive (CSD). The proposed Guidelines suggest applying to credit servicers the requirements of the existing Joint Committee Guidelines on complaints-handling. Those requirements include complaints management policy, complaints management function, registration, reporting, internal follow-up, provision of information and procedures for responding to complaints. The consultation runs until 9 February 2024.
