BM&FBOVESPA Launches Reference Exchange Rates - The Exchange Will Start The Calculation And Publication As Of December 19 Of Reference Rates For The Spot FX Market

BM&FBOVESPA shall start the daily calculation and publication on December 19 of reference exchange rates. The indicators are named Reference Exchange Rates (TCRs) and will be calculated based on spot US Dollar trades and orders (USDP) on the electronic trading platform.

Clearstream’s IT Division Signs Two New Customers For Its IT Hosting And Managed Services - Banco Bradesco And BKCP Bank Outsource IT Hosting To Clearstream Services - Clearstream’s IT Hosting And Managed Services Offering Now Has 20 Clients

The Brazilian bank Banco Bradesco and BKCP Bank from Belgium will use Clearstream’s IT Hosting and Managed Services. Clearstream Services will run the IT infrastructure for the private banking application hub for Banco Bradesco outside the Americas, with supporting services provided by Real Solutions S.A. For BCKP Bank, the entire IT infrastructure will be supported by Clearstream Services, including the IT office infrastructure within the bank’s branches. All services will be hosted in Luxembourg. Clearstream Services now has 20 customers in its external IT business. Cost control continues to be a major concern in the financial sector and beyond. Financial institutions want to avoid to invest significant amounts of time and money in the construction and management of IT infrastructures, and thus increasingly outsource IT services to specialized providers.

At separate seminars in Paris and London on December 13 and 14, 2011, entitled “Solvency II Benchmarks: How to Implement an Optimal Equity Allocation within Solvency II,” EDHEC-Risk Institute presented the results of research carried out with the support of Russell Investments that has led to the development of risk management strategies that allow European insurance companies to keep a reasonable capital requirement while providing attractive products to policyholders.
